We’re really excited to Launch our new passion project, Here|After: an impact-driven event series bringing together Los Angeles’ denim creatives. We have teamed up with long-time friend and producer Erin Barajas and together we will explore how the denim industry can lean into emerging technologies, creativity and innovation to address its social, environmental and business challenges. LA is such a dominant force in the world of denim and yet the city lacks a space to share ideas, make new acquaintances and work together to create a better future.

We are focussed on creating an intimate, elevated community experience and a new kind of inspirational / educational event for the denim industry. Here|After will feature our latest future forecast presentation and market insights alongside panels and presentations to connect brands, design and development teams to the leading innovators in the denim and fashion space.

Here/After debut event at Neue House

The debut edition of Here|After, sponsored by ISKO and Re&Up, makers of textile-to-textile recycling technology, will be held at NeueHouse Hollywood on June 13th from 4PM to 9PM.

To RSVP for this event, please email: HereAfter@erinbarajas.com

Presentations during Here|After’s inaugural event will include Denim Dudes F/W 2025 future forecast; a deep dive into denim market drivers; a performative lecture by @clairelevans , who writes about ecology, technology, and culture and a particularly prescient panel exploring how material science and circular systems are navigating challenges to create a reimagined supply chain. The panel will feature speakers from Re&Up, Patagonia, Ambercycle, and Nature Coatings and will be moderated by Kate Nishimura, senior news and features editor at Sourcing Journal.

“ISKO is deeply committed to supporting and developing new technologies and initiatives to make denim circular, the Here|After concept resonated with our own approach to connecting with our customers and is the perfect launchpad for us to present Re&Up to the LA market, a new circular tech company focused on textile-to-textile recycling at scale. Together, our goal is to divert textile waste from landfill and put it back into the supply chain to create beautiful, durable and fashionable garments once again.”

— Massimo Callegari, national manager for North America at ISKO.

All of this will take place within the larger context of Los Angeles, which finds itself in a particularly interesting moment. The city — where denim’s heritage and destiny are colliding in real time — is home to emerging, influential brands, global fashion activations and influential creatives, and is enjoying huge influence on the national and global fashion industry in cultural, employment and financial terms. By developing a platform for important and game-changing conversations in Los Angeles, Here|After will join and amplify this larger movement.

Attendance to Here|After is free of charge to brands and designers, members of the denim supply chain, industry executives, press, students and enthusiasts in Los Angeles and beyond, but seating is limited.

"In the course of our work, we are able to explore how larger and emerging economic, cultural and societal trends inform and affect the denim industry. Here|After is the natural extension of these insights — which we’ve synthesized into our forecasts and reports — but now will be able to explore these big ideas directly with key innovators and our audience in real-time.”

— Amy Leverton, Founder of Denim Dudes
