Denim Dudettes Profiles: Katy Al-Rubeyi

Katy Al-Rubeyi is co-founder of sustainable British apparel brand STORY mfg. with her husband Saeed. The brand regularly takes the pair to India and Thailand – sourcing local handmade fabrics and ancient natural processes, designing and developing new collections, and managing production. Before the label became her bread and butter, Katy was a denim and streetwear trend consultant. She was the denim editor at WGSN for 4 years, before setting up her own consultancy, Denim Forum, to directly work with denim mills and manufacturers on sustainable trends and innovations. Katy wears indigo, eats vegetables and posts digitally as @katy_storymfg.
