Denim Shoot: The LA River

Ryan and I have become firm friends since he started shooting for my book a few years ago. when I moved to LA I was really excited to hang out and do creative things together. Then he moved to Joshua Tree…. Maybe he was trying to tell me something 😉

But despite living a way out, he still comes into LA regularly for commercial jobs and whenever he does, we head out  in his pickup and shoot the shit in some of my latest favourite denim looks.

This time we fulfilled a long-time ambition of mine to go to the LA river, where they shot Grease, Terminator 2, Point Blank, etc etc. I’m wearing a vintage kimono that I picked up at a rag house, a kids indigo Hawaiian shirt from a thrift store in Echo Park, my trusty Levi’s 606’s and a pair of the ultra lightweight plastic Birkies.
