Antonio Giacometti is an awesome dude. He’s been my Denim Dudettes photographer in Italy for the past couple of years and whenever he’s at Pitti Uomo, he’s always sharing some of his favourite denim looks with me and boy, can the dude shoot! So this season I gave him a mission; to pick out a few of his ultimate denim dudes at the show this week. He didn’t disappoint!
Dave Edwards, Petrol Industries

Dave Edwards (aka @mred1970) is Denim Designer at Petrol Industries and is often photographed in impeccable style. He is, needless to say a bit of a denim geek and has recently featured on the Long John denim blog talking about his collection. Here he is wearing a hat from Bailey, Post Overall double indigo herringbone jacket, customised Petrol Industries jeans and a pretty rad denim glasses case that he made himself!

Mystery Badass Denim Dudette

We’re not sure who this is (if you know, please comment below!) but we love her style. The spread collar shirt in glossy houndstooth adds sophistication to her ostentatious Loewe gold hem jeans. Bellissimo!

Michael Bergen

Well yes, we all know who Michael Bergen is and he never looks crappy! I’d love to catch this dude on a Sunday morning in a Superdry hoody and jeans from The Gap but it ain’t never gonna happen! Impeccable as always, he’s sporting an indigo dipped kimono he designed in partnership with Y. & Sons (T-Kimono) for the 5 Curators, One Space section at Pitti.

Unknown Indigo Lover

This guy is rocking so many indigo textures its crazy. The jacket looks a bit like a FDMTL sashiko number, although hard to tell, could be Junya? Suggestions below. The tie is indigo boro using a stunning indigo plaid and the bag looks a little like Porter Classic. So good.

Gen Hiramatsu, from Y. & Sons

Y. & Sons are killing it right now, I’m loving their modernised and technical kimonos for FW18. Mr Hiramatsu here is doubling up a full-length piece with this double-breasted Hanten (Japanese fireman’s coat) in heavyweight indigo sashiko and it looks badass. Check out more of their looks on instagram.

Emanuele

Emanuele is rocking the Levi’s look but judging by the styling its an old late 90’s BIG E (the Levi’s sub-brand name not the tab) or a Levi’s RED piece. Either way it looks great, especially with that red hat.

Blue n Green

Another mystery couple! But these two are shot all the time at Pitti and their team dressing impressed a lot of the street style photographers this season so I’m sure someone will help identify them. Was it intentional that her indigo pinstripe pants perfectly matched his spotted bandana? Something tells me yes.
